Master programme

EUR-Organic is a joint Master programme of four partner universities:

  • UHOH - University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany
  • BOKU - University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria
  • WULS-SGGW - University of Life Sciences Warsaw, Poland
  • AU  - Aarhus University, Aarhus Faculty of Science and Technology, Denmark

During the MSc programme all students will be studying at two different universities. The university where the student is accepted in the first year of the EUR-Organic is referred to as the home university. The university that the student chooses as second university will be referred to as the host university. As BOKU and WULS-SGGW do not yet offer a full MSc programme in English, students can currently choose between UHOH and AU as home university and between UHOH, BOKU, AU and WULS-SGGW as host university. The master thesis work has to be assigned to the host university, and can be jointly supervised.

The full MSc study programme is worth a total of 120 ECTS. The programme is structured in 4 semester packages, each with a work load of 30 ECTS:

  • two Basic Semester Packages (2 x 30 ECTS) at your home university
  • one Specialisation Semester Package (30 ECTS) at your host university
  • master thesis (30 ECTS) at your host university
  • The programme will start with a joint start-up module that is compulsory for all students enrolled in the programme.

When you apply for the EUR-Organic Master programme you must choose UHOH  or AU as your home university. You will be enrolled and spend the first year of the Master programme at your home university.

At the end of the first semester you choose one of the specialisations as well as your host university. In the second semester you will continue with the second basic semester at your home university. In the third semester you will go to your host university and start the specialisation. Finally, you will complete the Master programme with a Masters Thesis made at your host university.
